Arter Model A
Precision Surface Grinder
The Arter Model A is the original rotary surface grinder that established the benchmark for precision grinding over a century ago. Introduced in 1916, it was built for long-lasting accuracy and durability—qualities proven by the many machines still in use today.
The Model A3 was developed as a heavier-duty version of the A-1, offering enhanced structural integrity while maintaining nearly all the same high-precision features.
Both the Model A and A3 are fully manual surface grinders, known for their reliability and simple operation.
For shops seeking modern capabilities, these machines can be upgraded with optional CNC controls for improved automation and repeatability.
